The incumbent is expected to work the necessary hours to meet the needs of a 24 hour establishment.SUMMARY:Protects the assets of the company and provides a safe environment for employees and guests.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs a variety of emergency rescue activities at an accident, or other emergency scenes.
- Prepares for any and all types of emergencies; administers first aid and CPR as needed.
- Performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and minor repair tasks necessary to keep all equipment clean, stored properly, and fully functional.
- Enforces company security regulations.
- Guards transfer of money, chips and tokens from and to various locations in the casino.
- Performs all security related duties for the casino.
- Ensures all casino policies and regulations are followed at all times and is constantly alert, identifying safety hazards and violations of the State Gaming Compact and Tribal Gaming Ordinance.
- Must be familiar with and in compliance with the State Gaming Compact, Tribal Gaming Ordinance, departmental policies, human resources policies, casino policies and applicable state and federal laws.
- Types reports using ITrak in an accurate and complete manner and submit them in a timely manner as per department policy.
- Protects the patrons, employees and assets of River Rock Casino.
- Follows chain of command on all matters.
- Properly mans assigned posts.
- Attends and participates in a variety of training activities to maintain and improve the level of emergency medical skills and general physical conditioning.
- Interviews, investigates and documents all applicable incidents, in accordance with company policies.
- Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy.
- Acts as a role model and always present oneself as a credit to River Rock Casino and encourages others to do the same.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.
- Attends all required meetings and training.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
- Must have knowledge of first aid, CPR, and other basic medical assistance techniques.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
- Must have PC skills and knowledge of Windows based applications including MS-Office (Word, Excel), MS-Outlook and Adobe Acrobat;
- Previous public relations and/or casino security experience is desirable.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
- Must present professional appearance at all times.
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to all matters pertaining to the gaming enterprise business.
EDUCATION:Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must possess a valid State of California EMT certificate.
- Must possess and maintain a California state issued Guard Card; or obtain a Guard Card within six months of service.
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Dry Creek Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:River Rock Casino, in conjunction with Human Resources, reserves the right to make changes to this job description at any time.
- Must be able to maneuver around all areas of the casino.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to the weight needed to perform the duties of the job.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, twist and grip items.
- Must be able to respond to visual and audio cues.
