We are searching for our next District Manager to lead the charge and grow sales with a rock-solid Route Sales team in the Southern California Territory. Based out of our largest DSD Depot in Commerce, California, this is an excellent management opportunity, working for a "Best in Class" sales organization!

Looking for an experienced leader to oversee the daily activities of company route sales representatives and merchandising teams engaged in promoting, increasing sales and distributing company branded and partner branded products to retail store accounts. They will be responsible for developing brand awareness of LTF products, and will grow existing accounts according to the target list. Will also be in in charge of the operational practices of all stores making sure each runs smoothly, cleanly and meets any budget and sales goals in compliance marketing campaigns and promotions. Also responsible for the oversight of all distribution and brand development efforts in our Southern California territories and will work side-by-side with the Director, DSD to ensure profitability.

WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS (THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES):

• Responsible for driving profitability and growing existing and potential customers through region's RSR team
• Provides guidance, sets service expectations, and utilizes Route Sales leadership skills in building employee performance to grow and exceed base business goals
• Ensures optimal route sales execution, plans, schedules, assigns, and monitors daily route assignments to ensure clients are serviced per company standards and agreements
• Resolves route service issues for clients, visiting client sites when needed to follow up and/or evaluate issues
• Reviews weekly demand/volume for routes, manages stales and adequate inventory for depot, and determines potential opportunities from reducing costs
• Supports route sales employees in capturing opportunities for base business growth using La Tortilla Factory's brand objectives and profitable growth
• Works closely with our national and local sales teams to accurate forecast sales activity executes on those forecasts
• Assists Business Manager, DSD in the development of the DSD P&L and is accountable for his/her territory results
• Presentation of new items to the assigned accounts
• Assists when required with the management of the assigned customers' accounts receivable
• Continually gathers and monitors information on competition and market trends; communicates information to associates and others as needed
• Utilizes leadership skills to facilitate employee selection, development, retention of the DSD business in their assigned territories
• Provides route sales employees with ongoing feedback to include recognition and/or coaching on route growth opportunities, performance productivity, sales skills development, service partnerships, safety, equipment operation, routing, vehicle maintenance
• Occasionally makes customer and account calls with Director, DSD
• Provides timely and accurate reports as required
• Stays current on market trends and communicates information to the DSD team
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED):

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
• Three to five years of DSD and/or related experience
• Proven leadership and business acumen skills; strong supervisory skills required
• Client interaction, communication, organization/time management, multi-tasking and computer skills are critical to the success of this role
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Experience in DSD transportation, delivery services, and/or logistics preferred
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
• Ability to work with all levels of management
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Developed interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
• Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information
• Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
• Charismatic and willing to be a spokesperson for the company/brand
• Understand and respond to a diverse population
• To be able to work in difficult and/or delicate situations with key customers when required
• Prompt and regular attendance is required; frequently in the field on sales calls or working with RSR team

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work is performed both in a normal office or home office environment and in grocery stores
• Noise levels are usually moderate but may be moderate to high at times
• Individual needs to be able to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus
• From time to time - the individual will be required to work in a large Cooler or Freezer environment for short periods of time to inspect inventory
• Individual needs to maintain their hygiene and dress business casual or business formal as required
