2020 Seasonal Cellar Worker - Siduri Wines

Winery Production  Santa Rosa, California

DESCRIPTION

Position at Jackson Family Wines

Siduri Wines is looking for Harvest Seasonal Cellar Workers for the upcoming 2020 harvest season. We are a small winery, located in Santa Rosa, California, specializing in high-end Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Siduri sources premium fruit ranging from appellations like Santa Rita Hills and Santa Lucia highlands all the way up to Northern California’s Anderson Valley, and many vineyards here in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast region. We are a tight-knit and efficient crew, and we’re looking for people who enjoy working in a fast-paced, demanding environment, dealing with all aspects of the winemaking process.

Working alongside our hands-on winemaking team, you will be involved in all aspects of the winemaking process. Duties include:

  • Sanitizing tools and equipment
  • Sorting and processing grapes
  • Punchdowns
  • Pumpovers
  • Winemaking additions
  • Tank dig-outs
  • Pressing
  • Barrel downs
  • Wine transfers
  • And pretty much everything else in between.
We expect applicants to be able to follow directions from the Winemakers and Cellarmaster, as well as written instructions. Applicants must be punctual and professional. Also, candidates should be detail-oriented, have a sense of urgency, and a positive attitude.

We generally work 10-hour days once harvest gets rolling with one day-off per week. The job generally lasts 10 - 12 weeks, starting in mid-August and running through November. The company provides catered lunches Monday through Friday and Pay is competitive.

Last things: applicants need to be 21 years old at the time of employment, and need to be able to pass a drug test. Even though marijuana is legal in California now, our parent company, Jackson Family Wines, continues to adhere to Federal drug policy guidelines.

Send your resumé and a brief cover letter if you’re interested.
