In Home Care, Personal Care Attendant Shifts: Varies according to your availability and client’s needs.

 Functions of the Position:

• Supervises, feed, and assists with dressing of
  clients who by reason of advanced age, physical disability, or mental
  deficiency needs supervision.
• Functions within the limitations of the
  individual assignment and Plan of Care.
• Attends to the client’s request promptly.
• Provides personal care, companionship,
  socialization and housekeeping services.
• Assists with meal planning, purchase of food,
  food preparation; feeds client as appropriate.
• Assist client to live in a clean, safe
  environment.
• Knows and follows infection control policies
  including proper had washing techniques.
• Maintains appropriate communication, both
  written and verbal, with Registered Nurse Care Manager. Reports changes in
  condition immediately to RN Care Manager or office.
• Assist and supervises client with all activities
  of daily living including; dressing, personal car, bathing, skin care, oral
  care, assistance with mobility and ambulation and assistacnce with exercise as
  prescribed in RN/PT/OT/ST Care Plan.
• Treat Clients and family with respect and
  dignity.
• Performs all other related duties and
  responsibilities as deemed necessary.
